Winter Market! We are thrilled to present the artists and makers who will be showcasing and selling their creations on 20 December at Rotor DC!
@Arthur Halbique creates unique and functional furniture based on an ad hoc approach. Each piece, crafted from reclaimed wood, combines experimentation and technique, vibrant colors to inspire everyday life. The items he creates vary depending on the constantly changing stock available. This approach gives rise to unique, serial and custom-made objects.
Anne-Emilie Philippe is a visual artist who regularly creates printed images (serigraphy, risography, etc.) and books. She will present a selection of her paper publications as well as a few textile pieces, dyed using locally collected plants. She also creates small series of upcycled leather bags and accessories under the brand name Peaux.
STOE is a collaboration between Siene Vanesser & Len Heu, exploring found materials (stoemp) and the social side of design (stoep). The first stoemp objects came to life through playful experiments combining materials and functions. Our projects are made from repurposed materials that already had a story before, so small (im)perfections are possible.
Via et arte decided to invite its artists for this winter market. @anne.peeters.gravure will be presenting her animal-inspired engravings, Isabelle Roukette her ink drawings, Marcelle Stroobants will present her engravings on found materials (cardboard, tetrapak, DVDs, …) and Coraline Vandernotte from Via&Arte will present editions, prints, and small workshop items.
Floriana Da Silve is a visual artist, engraver, and graphic designer. She develops a practice of printmaking and stone engraving to explore matter, traces, and memory through compositions that combine imaginary cartographies, typography, and organic or mineral forms.
Jessica Blondiau is an illustrator who works with printed images, specifically screen printing and risography. Her world is colorful and joyful. She loves drawing very human-like animals and forests.
lemarchand_quentin is a visual artist working at the intersection of architecture and design. Quentin unveils a series of lamps made from recycled materials. The Jura collection and several new lighting fixtures will be presented at the winter market.
articule.cafe is a coffee roastery founded by Arthus. Roasting small batches to express the flavours of coffees, selected with care and commitment.
La meute is a collective of female designers, united by a shared passion for fashion and a commitment to a more ethical and sustainable future. La Meute offers customizable clothing and accessories. The pieces are made in Belgium, by their own hands.
Studio Platt is a furniture design and maker studio. For the winter market, it will be selling small interior objects and furniture pieces made from recycled materials.
